My cousin introduced us at the bowling alley.
What is your happiest childhood memory?
Leaving the city to come and stay at my aunt and uncle’s house and being with my cousins.
What committees are you on at Olivet?
Session, Evangelism Committee and Building and Grounds (Vice President)
Tell us about yourself.
Raised in Philadelphia, graduated from Roman Catholic High School, moved to this area in 1965. Married my wife in 1970 and we have two children – Dave and Jason. I love all kinds of sports, I love my church and church family and all that I am involved in.
If you could meet any person, alive or dead, who would it be?
My grandmother and uncle who had such an influence on my life.
If you could travel backward or forward in time, what year would you go to and why?
March, 1972. To be able to have witnessed the birth of my first son, David
If you could instantly acquire any skill, what would it be and why?
The skill of operating a computer so as to be a part of this technical world we live in.
What is the worst job you ever had? And what didn’t you like about it?
Working for a wholesale meat distributor. I had to clean up all of the equipment.
What is the most disgusting thing you’ve ever eaten?
Rhubarb sauce!
Describe a relaxing day.
When you don’t have to go to work, it is a relaxing day for me!

Knowing that no matter how much we screw up and how difficult things get, Jesus is there with us every step of the way.
Do you believe there is intelligent life on other plants? Why or why not?
I’m not sure, but knowing that God is the composer and conductor of the universe there is a possibility that life may exist on other planets considering the vast size of the universe.
Where and when was your last vacation?
Two years ago. Our son’s wedding in Indiana.
What cheers you up when you are sad?
My wife telling me how much she loves me and how much she loves her remodeled kitchen.
What restaurants do you enjoy going to?
Village Porch, Italian Village, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse and Ruby Tuesdays.
What is the last good book you’ve read?
Does the Bible count? I don’t read many books.
What would you tell a guest about Olivet to convince them to come back again?
I think that if a guest couldn’t sense or feel the love at Olivet, I don’t know if anything I would say could convince them to come back, except that I was glad to meet them and I hope that they enjoyed the service.
