What brought you to Olivet?
Jack and Jean DePew where patients at an ophthalomogy practice in Ridley Park that I worked at. We talked about me looking for a new church and they said, “Why don’t you come to Olivet?”
What do you enjoy most about Olivet?
The People.
What are a few of your favorite movies?
My all time favorite movies are Gone With the Wind and Dirty Dancing.
What was the last book you read?
The Secret Life of Bees.
Who inspired you the most in your life?
My father, my dad, because I’m daddie’s girl.
Whats one of your favorite memories?
Oh geese. Fishing with my dad. We were fishing buddies. He was in the service so when he was home from TDY we would go fishing and crabbing.
Do you watch any shows “religiously?”
“Religiously?” Lost and Survivor.
Tell us something about your family.
I have no immediate family in the area. I do have a younger sister in North Carolina. My parents live in lower Delaware. I have a husband named Art and a daughter Amanda, and a step-son Micheal and a step daughter Jeniffer. And I have a dog named Winnie.
How do you make a living?
I am an ophthomic techincian and I work for a large ophthomic practice in Wilmington, Delaware and I’ve done that for 23 years. I work as the retinal photographer.
Is there any thing about the physical church that really catches your attention?
The stain glass windows, specifically the Rose window. That was the first thing I saw when I entered the church.
